Regular Season Round 8: BSA - Ventspils Spars 58-95

Not a big story in a game when 58th ranked DanishBSA (1-7) was outplayed by fourth ranked Latvian Ventspils Spars (6-2) 95-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Ventspils Spars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to BSA 's 36. Ventspils Spars forced 22 BSA turnovers and had a 41-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ventspils Spars looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Jekabs Graudins (-2009) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals and Jekabs Miluzs (-2009) who added 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Ventspils Spars players scored in double figures. Pasiusis Jokubas responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Aleksander Skaaning scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ventspils Spars have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Probasket. BSA lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with OASIS and BWC.
